  • description: The FIA seems to be losing more and more employees at the highest level. Doesn't matter if it's stewards, race directors or even the deputy president in this case. Robert Reid is a highly qualified person at the FIA, having come up through the British rally circuit and is also a World Rally Champion along with Richard Burns. When Richard was diagnosed with a brain tumour, Reid abandoned his rally career and moved into more 'desk based' jobs in motorsport while supporting his friend. In 2021, Reid became the deputy president for sport at the FIA, but yesterday resigned over a breakdown at the FIA in terms of ethics, transparency, and how the FIA is now doing things without consulting its two main branches that have to approve it first. A little like how things are going in the US right now, I guess. So why has he resigned? And how is this going to cause more chaos? Let's have a look.
